The Art

Every piece is individually created by hand. No two pieces will ever be the same. Each piece is crafted first in a body of clay, and details added once the clay is leather hard, allowing me to work the piece more without distorting the original shape. Hardened clay designs are then fired to a stage called biscuit. And this is where the sprinkle of magic happens and the prayers to the kiln goddesses are required, as the glaze is applied and then the piece is fired again. This is the time every potter, ceramicist and clay artist opens up the kiln and with a lot of luck and craftsmanship, a stunning piece of art will emerge triumphantly! Every piece I bring to you has had care and attention through every process and is brought to you ready to come into your life and brighten your surroundings every time you lay your eyes on it.
